Description

Trips around Paris: Versailles tourism: Established during the reign of Louis XVI to import merino sheep from Spain, the Bergerie farm and museum in the Yvelines consists of a full-size working farm in which over 1000 lambs are born each year. The museum itself traces the history of the famous breed, now widespread throughout the world. A pleasant, distracting and enriching cultural experience for all at any time of year. On your walks through the farm, you can also see dairy and beef cattle, a number of carthorses, pigs and other animals, as well as joining in many other activities varying with the time of year and adding pleasure to day trip from Paris.
